Sophomore Pilgrimage 2025!
Launch the media gallery 1 playerSix Seward High Sophomores were selected to represent Seward High, the community and local GFWC Women’s Clubs at the annual GFWC NFWC Sophomore Pilgrimage on Wednesday- April 2 at the Nebraska State Capitol.
Selected to attend were SHS Sophomores-Crew Potter, Jackson Einsphar, Austin Koch, Aubrey Hanes, Alexis Colling, and Alexis Solano. Their sponsor/ advisor for the day was Trevor Menke - SHS History Teacher.
The students met with the State elected officials- including the Governor and visited the Legislature- meeting with Senator Jana Hughes.
They toured the Capitol and enjoying their a pizza lunch with Senator Jana Hughes at the State Capitol. In the afternoon they visited the State Supreme Court and return back to school!
The day was coordinated by the GFWC Nebraska Federation of Women’s Club’s and the Seward High students were sponsored by the GFWC Seward Womans Club, the GFWC Seward Junior Women’s Club and the SHS HAL program.
SHS History teacher - Trevor Menke served as the sponsor. The students were selected last Fall through written application and interview!
