SHS Senior, Noah Fields placed First in the local Seward VFW “Voice of Democracy” speech contest. The 2022-2023 theme was “Why Veteran’s Count!”

He was asked to write and record a Three to Five minute speech on the selected topic!  Noah's speech then competed at the District level and he was presented a cash scholarship on behalf of the Seward VFW Club 4755. 
It should be noted that Noah wrote and won awards in this speech contest all four years of his high school career! After graduation he plans to attend Chadron State College.
He is the son of Kevin and Deidra Fields of Seward.
