Seward Public Schools Media Program
Seward Public Schools is committed to the development of an information/media program that is integrated with the instructional program of the district. This approach can best be seen as our media specialists are leading the way for our teachers by modeling and teaching how we can utilize the technologies, develop research skills, and best use our media center resources to best meet the needs of our students.
In Seward, we believe that this integrated approach to the information/media program is one reason for the high academic achievement of our students. Seward is also a part of the ESU 6 consortium for e-books. Through the collective effort of partnering schools, students will have the opportunity to check out e-books at the elementary, middle, and high school level in Seward with a mobile device. This addition to our school libraries will provide greater opportunities for our students to be engaged with reading.
Seward Public Schools affirms that the information center is an integral part of the teaching and learning that occurs within a school. Seward media centers are available to teachers throughout the day and are staffed with certified and paraprofessional support. Our circulation is always being updated and we are committed to having the resources needed to help support the teaching and learning that occurs everyday in Seward Public Schools.
