Five SHS Students to attend GFWC Sophomore Pilgrimage
Five SHS students were selected to represent Seward High at the spring, 2024 GFWC NFWC Sophomore Pilgrimage at the Nebraska State Capitol in Lincoln. The students will be sponsored by the GFWC Seward Woman’s Club and the GFWC Seward Junior Women’s Club. Students completed a written application and an interview. Selected to attend were Molly Marroquin, Cardin Goracke, Avery Rodocker, Lily Brashear and Grace Matulka. SHS Junior and former Sophomore Pilgrim, Esten Johnsen served as the interview host and timer for the interviews! Also invited to attend the Sophomore Pilgrimage is is SHS International Student Hannah Herzog of Augsburg, Germany. The school sponsor is Mr Trevor Menke from the SHS History Department.
The event is a nationally recognized program created and sponsored for decades by the Nebraska Federation of Women’s Clubs, Inc. - the official affiliate with the General Federation of Women’s Club’s, Inc- an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement and volunteer service!
