Wiesen Twins Fine Arts Students of Month for November
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe SHS Wiesen twins, Jake and Jacee, were selected to be the November Fine Arts Youth of the Month. They are the children of Josh and Cindy Wiesen.
Jake is a member of the SHS Marching Band, and plays tenor sax. He is also in Symphonic Band, with the bass clarinet, plays in Pep Band and SHS Wind Ensemble. He is a member of the SHS Select Choir and a longtime member of the SHS Swing Choir. He has been involved with the SHS musicals as well.
He was selected for the Central Conference Honor Band and participated in the Concordia Musical Arts Day.
Jacee is a member of the SHS Marching Band, playing the trumpet and serving as one of the Drum Majors. She is also in Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble and is also in the SHS Jazz Band and Pep Band. She participated in the Central Conference Honor Band and the Concordia Musical Arts Day.
She is a member of the SHS Select Choir, the SHS Swing Choir and participated in the SHS Musicals as well.
Both are leaders and longtime members of the SHS National Honor Society and participated in local VFW Voice of Democracy Speech contests, along with various educational contests at the Nebraska State Fair, as well as the local Poetry Out Loud recitation contest.
